The work of our volunteers is vital to the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters. However, we also want to acknowledge the vital role that donors play in supporting one-to-one mentoring in Utah. All the successes our youth achieve with the support of their mentors wouldn’t be possible without the efforts of our donors.

At BBBS, our priorities are
youth development and youth protection. This is based on the 100+ year model from Big Brothers Big Sisters that relies on screening, training and on-going support for the life of the mentoring matches. None of this work in Utah would be possible without our financial donors and those that contribute used clothing and household items to the Big Brothers Big Sisters Donation Center

Most of the children paired with mentors in our programs live in low-to-moderate income households and face many risk factors in their lives. One-to-one mentoring acts as a protective factor, balancing some of these risks. It can support kids and give them new opportunities to overcome the challenges that they and their families may be facing.

If you are looking for opportunities to contribute to your local community, we need your dedication. Your support can come in the form of spear-heading a clothing drive, bring used items to a drop-off center or bin, or making an online financial contribution – all of which we use to support existing and new mentoring matches in Utah. It can improve the lives of kids today, and improve the health of our community in the future. There are a wide variety of ways to make donations in Utah.
