Providing your child with an additional mentor is an easy way to help supplement their development and growth. Learn More About One-to-One Mentoring

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah matches kids between the ages of 6 and 16 with trusted mentors in order to build a brighter future for the kids and our community. It is our vision that all youth achieve their full potential. To realize this vision, we make it our mission to build and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the biggest possible futures for the youth in Utah. So long as there is a need for additional mentors, we will continue to value meaningful relationships and activities that engage, connect and support children here in Utah.

The Results

By providing your child with a mentor, their chances of success increase significantly. Of the 1,001 kids enrolled in our programs, 82 percent live in poverty, and another 47 percent come from a single-parent household. When young adults who face opportunity gaps have a mentor on their side, they are 55 percent more likely to enroll in college. In terms of academics overall, mentored youth maintain better attitudes about school, have better attendance and are more likely to pursue higher education. These mentorships not only help kids prepare for college and their careers but also help them with all relationships.
