Benefits of Getting Outside

When it comes to the outdoors, there are so many benefits to outdoor recreation.

  1. Physical activity:  the outdoors encourages kids to get moving. They engage their motor skills, muscles, and senses. Consistency is needed to stay healthy. Littles and Bigs are encouraged to learn the importance of an active lifestyle!
  2. Social and emotional: development: Being outside means face-to-face interactions, which are essential for human development and connection. This experience of in-person interaction builds social skills and the ability to connect with others emotionally.
  3. It sets your body at ease: going outside lowers your blood pressure and allows for that fresh breath of air. It improves your mood and the mood of others around you as you take in the sunshine and get your body moving!
