For those looking for volunteer opportunities in Utah, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah is a great option. It’s not the only way to help, though. We also encourage donations in Utah. Donating clothing and small household items supports mentoring relationships for children in your community.

How it Works

You’ll drop off your donations at the nearest participating Savers location. Savers purchases the items from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah, and the money goes to the organization. In general, clothing, toys, and small household items are accepted. A complete list can be found here.

What to Donate:

Winter coats

With many people needing affordable coats, your old one is a prime candidate for donation.

Children’s clothing

Kids outgrow clothes pretty quickly, and often before they’ve had the chance to wear them much. Outgrown clothing is perfect for donation. Don’t forget to consider the volunteer opportunities in Utah to help out more children.

Toys

You never know what toy your child will become obsessed with and which they’ll toss aside. Donate the ones they aren’t interested into clear clutter and offer them a new home with a child that will love them.

Support Mentoring Relationships

While Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah offers volunteer opportunities in Utah, that’s not the only way to provide support. Donations in Utah that include used or unused clothing and household items raise money that the organization can use to further its goal of helping youth realize their full potential.
