At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah, we focus on the importance of mentorship and guidance in a child’s growth. Children can benefit from a little bit of inspiration and motivation from an adult they can trust and look up to. We offer volunteer opportunities in Utah to help kids and their mentees find a broader path to success through our 3 different mentoring programs.

Our Programs

Big Brothers Big Sisters Utah programs are categorized as follows:

  • Community-based Mentoring Program

Through this program, our professionals seek to match responsible adults with children from the community. We provide kids between the age of 6 to 18 with a role model they can relate to and look up to for at least one year. The Bigs and Littles choose the most befitting time to meet and engage in meaningful one-to-one activities while receiving support from the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah staff.

  • Site-Based Mentoring

Our site-based mentorship program offers the Bigs and Littles a chance to bond over school work or any other designated activity for at least an hour after school. The program takes place every week in select elementary schools in Utah.

  • Mentor 2.0

We tap into the convenience and advantages of technology through our mentor 2.0 program. Through this program, mentors and mentees work together toward building resilience, setting achievable goals, keeping up with high school, and preparing for life post-graduation.
