The organization is tailored to serve children facing challenges, including poverty, coming from refugee backgrounds, and children coping with parental incarceration or other difficulties at home. This year, the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) annual NBA All-Star game was held in Salt Lake City, Utah on February 19, 2023. As part of the NBA All-Star game, two local charities were selected as beneficiaries of the two competing teams. The Salt Lake City charities chosen were both youth and family-serving organizations. Through moving, a pandemic, shifting family dynamics, and uncertain times, Big Holly and Little Samantha built a friendship that continues to this day. Matched when Samantha was just 11, this Big and Little stayed together through Samantha’s high school graduation! In the 7 years they were formally matched, they created countless memories and formed a strong bond through their mentoring relationship.  After being a camp counselor, Holly knew she had a passion for working with
