Volunteer Opportunities in Utah: There are very few things in this world if any, that are as gratifying and soul-nourishing as helping a child in need.

Being able to contribute to a child’s happiness, wellbeing, and development is one of the most important aspects of any community, and that is exactly what we do here at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah. For more than 40 years, our Bigs have guided our Littles to a better future and a better life. If you’re interested in volunteer opportunities in Utah, consider becoming a BBBSU mentor.

Through our 1-to-1 mentorship program and youth support initiatives, we aim to empower kids who have fallen through the cracks and give them a chance in life that they deserve. Volunteer opportunities in Utah have proven to be a vital step in the quest to unlock their potential and make sure they get the love, encouragement, and opportunities they need to become anything they want.

Studies show that over 75% of disadvantaged children or young adults who receive some form of mentorship aspire to attend college. Furthermore, Department of Labor statistics reveal that those who give the gift of mentorship experience increased self-esteem, a sense of accomplishment, and improved supervisory skills.

So how can you get involved with volunteer opportunities in Utah?

We have three significant ways to bring stability and joy to our kids:

  1. Donating clothes to the organization is a big one and costs you absolutely nothing except a little kindness and a few things you or your family have grown out of.
  2. Donate your time to become a Big and share your wisdom and generosity in a meaningful way that will benefit your Little for years to come.
  3. Donate financially (and responsibly) to the cause safe in the knowledge that every penny is going towards one of the noblest causes of all.
